Care Instructions

Wood Products 

Daily Care

  • Hand wash with warm, soapy water immediately after use
  • Rinse thoroughly and dry completely with a clean lint-free towel
  • DO NOT SUBMERGE in water
  • Never soak or put in the dishwasher
  • Avoid harsh detergents

Maintenance

  • Oil monthly with food-grade mineral oil or specialized wood conditioner
  • Apply oil when wood appears dry or light-colored
  • Allow oil to penetrate for several hours or overnight, then wipe excess
  • Well-maintained wood products can last decades

What to Avoid

  • Dishwashers, microwaves, or prolonged soaking
  • Extreme temperature changes
  • Direct sunlight for extended periods
  • Cutting citrus directly on the surface (use a barrier)
  • Cutting directly on your engraved design. Flip board over and use the unengraved side for serving/cutting. 

Marble Products  

Daily Care

  • Wipe clean with a damp lint-free cloth and mild soap
  • Dry immediately to prevent water spots
  • DO NOT SUBMERGE in water
  • Never soak or put in the dishwasher
  • Avoid harsh detergents

Maintenance

  • Polish occasionally with marble-specific polish
  • Address spills immediately to prevent etching

What to Avoid

  • Acidic substances (citrus, wine, vinegar, tomatoes)
  • Abrasive cleaners or scrubbing pads
  • Generic household cleaners
  • Dishwashers, microwaves, or prolonged soaking
  • Extreme temperature changes
  • Direct sunlight for extended periods
  • Cutting citrus directly on the surface (use a barrier)
  • Cutting directly on your engraved design. Flip board over and use the unengraved side for serving/cutting. 

Slate Products

Daily Care

  • Wipe with a damp cloth and mild detergent
  • Dry thoroughly to prevent water marks
  • Hand wash only

Maintenance

  • Apply food-safe slate sealer annually if using for food service
  • Store in a dry location to prevent moisture damage
  • Handle carefully to avoid chipping edges

What to Avoid

  • Dishwashers or soaking
  • Abrasive cleaners or steel wool
  • Dropping or impact with hard surfaces
  • Extreme temperature changes

Glass Products

Daily Care

  • Hand wash in warm soapy water when possible
  • For dishwasher use, place securely in top rack only. Please check product description to determine if item is dishwasher safe or not. 
  • Avoid sudden temperature changes
  • Dry with a lint-free cloth to prevent water spots

Deep Cleaning

  • For hard water stains, soak in white vinegar solution
  • Use baking soda paste for stubborn residue
  • Rinse thoroughly and air dry or hand dry

Maintenance

  • Inspect regularly for chips or cracks
  • Store carefully with adequate spacing
  • Use appropriate storage racks or padding

What to Avoid

  • Extreme temperature changes (hot glass in cold water)
  • Abrasive scrubbers or harsh chemicals
  • Overcrowding in dishwasher
  • Freezer storage (unless specifically designed for it)


Leather Products


Daily Care

  • Wipe with a clean, dry lint-free cloth to remove surface dirt
  • Allow to air dry if wet - never use direct heat
  • Rotate use if you have multiple leather items

Deep Cleaning

  • Use leather-specific cleaner for stains
  • Apply cleaner to a cloth first, then to leather
  • Always test cleaning products on an inconspicuous area first
  • Allow to dry naturally away from direct heat or sunlight

Maintenance

  • Condition every 3-6 months with quality leather conditioner
  • Apply conditioner sparingly with a soft cloth
  • Buff gently after conditioning
  • Store in a cool, dry place with good air circulation

What to Avoid

  • Water saturation or soaking
  • Direct heat sources (radiators, hair dryers)
  • Harsh chemicals or household cleaners
  • Direct sunlight for extended periods
  • Sharp objects that could scratch or puncture

Ceramic Products

Daily Care

  • Hand wash or use dishwasher on normal cycle. Please check product description to determine if dishwasher safe or not. 
  • Check manufacturer recommendations for microwave safety. Check product description to determine if microwave safe or not. 
  • Avoid extreme temperature changes
  • Handle carefully to prevent chipping

Deep Cleaning

  • For coffee or tea stains, use baking soda paste or denture cleaning tablets
  • Soak stubborn stains overnight in warm soapy water
  • Use soft brush for textured surfaces

Maintenance

  • Inspect regularly for chips or cracks that could harbor bacteria
  • Replace damaged items promptly
  • Store carefully to prevent impact damage

What to Avoid

  • Sudden temperature changes (very hot liquid in cold mug)
  • Abrasive cleaners on decorated surfaces
  • Microwave use if not microwave-safe
  • Dropping or banging against hard surfaces


General Storage Tips

  • Store all items in a clean, dry environment
  • Avoid stacking heavy items on delicate materials
  • Keep different materials separated to prevent scratching
  • Ensure items are completely dry before storage
  • Use protective padding for valuable or delicate pieces
